Electronic Health Record, Digital Registration, Digital Images, and Digital Prescription projects (see more detailed information in the right column) will be financed from the EU Structural Funds during 2005 – 2008.
The aim of these projects is:

• Decreasing the level of bureaucracy in the doctors work process as well as allowing for a more efficient use of work time
• Making the time-critical information accessible for the attending physician
• Making the health care services more patient friendly

The total cost of these eHealth projects is approximately 34.7 million kroons. The most extensive project is Electronic Health Record (approx 25 million kroons) in the course of which a base infrastructure will be developed for integration of health care providers and key patient data will be centralized.
